SpeedBox 1.4 B.Tuning for Bosch connects your e-bike with your smartphone via Bluetooth and removes the speed limiter.

Real speed and all riding data will be displayed in the SpeedBox App directly on your phone.

How does SpeedBox 1.4 B.Tuning for Bosch work?

Control is simple. You can activate SpeedBox 1.4 B.Tuning through the app or directly on the control unit using the WALK assist (hold “-”). The display will show 3.5 km/h (2.2 mph) and assistance will be unlocked up to 35 km/h. You can adjust the limit up to 99 km/h, but we recommend not exceeding 35 km/h to avoid error codes.

Deactivate by repeating WALK assist (hold “-”). The display will show 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) and the limit will reset to 25 km/h. Your e-bike will then work as before installation.

On e-bikes without WALK assist enabled, activation/deactivation can be done by switching between two assistance modes twice: - + - +.

Always activate/deactivate before the ride, never while riding!

When first opening the SpeedBox App, set a PIN (required every time). You will also be asked to set a service password, which can be used if the PIN is forgotten or changed.

You can set the maximum speed limit by switching modes from TURBO three levels down and then back up: eMTB - TOUR+ - ECO - TOUR+ - eMTB - TURBO. The current limit will be shown. Change it by briefly pressing WALK or turning the rear wheel 360°. 2.5 km/h = 25 km/h, 3.0 = 30 km/h, 3.5 = 35 km/h. The last displayed limit will be saved after 15 seconds.

After riding, leave the bike on until 0.0 km/h is displayed. Only then turn it off. Do not remove the display until the countdown process finishes.

SpeedBox App for SpeedBox 1.4 B.Tuning

The SpeedBox App uses Bluetooth to connect your e-bike with your phone. You can view current data, save trips, compare results with friends, and monitor performance.

Download the app before ordering the chip to test the demo version and confirm compatibility. Requires Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.

Assembly

SpeedBox uses original connectors for simple, correct installation. We provide detailed instructions and videos. Disassembly is equally easy. If you have any trouble, contact us.

If installing on a brand-new bike, ride at least 10 km before activating the tuning.

Important

Connect male-female connectors in the direction of the lock. Do not rotate during connection.

Warning

Using modified e-bikes on public roads may be illegal in some countries. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by SpeedBox. E-bikes with SpeedBox must not be used on roads, cycle paths, or public areas. Use is allowed only on private property and at your own risk. Using SpeedBox may void your e-bike’s warranty.

We recommend not updating your e-bike firmware, as updates increase the risk of detection. Disable automatic updates in the eBike Flow App.

For short stops, keep one foot on the pedal to avoid triggering countdown. For longer stops, let at least partial countdown complete. After long rides, the countdown may take several minutes. Do not remove the display until it finishes. Always activate/deactivate only when stationary. Do not exceed 35 km/h.
